Ian Griffiths

Chief Executive Officer

With extensive experience in different manufacturing environments, which includes the last 10 years in the furniture industry, Gary has recently joined Dams to head up our UK manufacturing operations. Gary will focus on increasing productivity across all product lines, streamlining production processes, eliminating waste, and managing our continued investment in UK manufacturing with machinery and skilled personnel – to ensure we can better service the needs of our customers.

Let’s get personal: Married for 30 years with 3 children, Gary is busy helping to plan his daughter’s wedding at the moment and also getting in some training for the Ride London 100 mile cycling challenge in May.

Guilty pleasure: Gary loves a bit of Prog Rock including Genesis and Elton John. What they did in the 70s was excellent stuff – real music!

Darren Rose

Finance Director

Chris is responsible the successful running of all P&P Non-Ferrous businesses.  With over 25 years industry experience, more recently in the aluminium world, Chris’ passion for the safety of his employees and customer satisfaction is at the top of every agenda.

Let’s get personal:
Chris is Married with 4 children, and enjoys following his beloved Manchester United Football Club. Chris also has a real passion for golf (14 handicap) and even has a hole in one to his name!

Guilty pleasure:
Chris is well known for his vast array of colourful and purposely worn odd socks!

Daniel Holmes

Sales Manager

Dan has been with the company 12 years, starting as Sales Trainee/Tea boy and working his way up to his current Sales Manager position, which Dan has been in for the last 3 years. Back in 2012, Dan was brought in to develop the company’s copper tube range, which is now one of P&P’s key products. He now oversees the Sales department at Brierley Hill and looks after the company’s key accounts.


Let’s get personal:
Dan is a big football fan and is West Ham United mad! He enjoys a night out with friends/family and loves spending time with his baby daughter Ava.

Guilty pleasure:
Dan likes a flutter on the horses!

Alice James

Internal Sales

After graduating university in sports in 2017, Alice came to P&P as a sales trainee which was her first full time job. Alice was quickly taken on as a Sales Exec for P&P and its been 6 and a half years already – time flies! Alice's job roles include understanding customer needs and providing the best possible options for their requirements, ensuring the customer has the right products and best possible prices. Alice also deals with everyday customer enquiries and orders, as well as looking at contractual work for her customers. 

Let’s get personal: Alice likes to spend time with her family and friends, binge watching murder programmes and doing anything adventurous. She likes to visit Devon as much she can and visit family down there. Alice also loves to take pictures of scenery, sunsets and her puppy Milo – her camera album is FULL.

Guilty pleasure: Alice likes listening to any music 80s, 90s & naughties! Also internet shopping or more like window shopping as her basket is always too expensive so never checks out!

Ken Tonks

Internal Sales

Richard has over 23 years experience working in the industry selling non-ferrous metals and plastics to the trade. He enjoys talking to customers and finding out what they are doing with the material, and then trying to help them find a solution to their problem. 

Let’s get personal:
Richard has been married for over 13 years to his beautiful wife Tina with 3 wonderful children, and they recently added a little labrador puppy named Merlin to the family. They love to go on family walks and days out together. Richard is an avid Aston Villa fan and has had a season ticket for over 10 years of long suffering with his brother and youngest son Oliver. He also enjoy playing football on Wednesday nights and socialising with friends after the match.

Guilty pleasure:
Richard enjoys playing cards and board games like Monopoly and Scrabble with the kids. It always brings out the ultra-competitive side within him!

Carmen Taylor

Sales Administration

Carmen's role consists of a combination of responsibilities for both sales and administrative work. This involves talking to customers over the phone, ordering stock, taking and processing orders, as well as handling enquiries and managing paperwork, such as outstanding orders, PO’s, delayed shipments and producing graphs and reports - to maintain and improve the overall delivery of the order process within the business.

Let’s get personal:
In her spare time Carmen enjoys training and going to the gym, often up to 6 days a week to maintain a healthy mind and physique, as well as often going out to a bar or meal with friends and family. On top of always having a trip planned to make the most of travelling whilst still in her early twenties.

Guilty pleasure:
Carmen enjoys tuning into podcasts every week, listening to rap and R & B classics, as well as always fancying a vodka cranberry before a night out.

Stuart Poyner

Purchasing Manager

Stuart is responsible for working with suppliers to ensure that we are providing the best quality products to our customers, at the most competitive pricing.  With global challenges such as conflicts in Ukraine and the Middle East, coupled with a strong focus on our corporate social responsibility and sustainability values, the team are working tirelessly to minimise and mitigate any price increases as well as maintaining a stable supply chain for our customers.

Let’s get personal:
S
tuart loves travelling to various countries to experience different foreign cultures. On weekends he also enjoys watching live comedy, supporting Arsenal, chopping wood and drinking rum!


Guilty pleasure:
Stuart has a long standing relationship with his Honda Jazz, affectionately named “Jazzy Jeff”.
Nigel is the sales manager at P&P Non-Ferrous in Bristol. He has over 30 years experience in the industry, all within sales/sales management. Nigel joined the company to help take full advantage of our ever increasing product range and to expand and develop our customer base, not only in the south west but across the whole of the UK. P&P are proving very successful in doing this by offering not just a unique product range and competitive pricing structure but by also giving our customers a service they can rely on.    

Let’s get personal:
Nigel is married with four beautiful daughters. He play golfs to a half decent standard, but not as often as he would like! Nigel also loves his family holidays and tries to hit the gym a few times a week. He's not to bad in the kitchen and loves his tapas.

Guilty pleasure:
Nigel is often told that his love for country music is getting out of hand and knows almost every Kenny Rogers song word for word.

Nigel Bishop

Sales Manager (Bristol)

Angus is responsible for maintaining and building long lasting relationships with new and existing customers. With over 10 years’ experience in the metal trade, Angus has an extensive knowledge of the non-ferrous supply chain. Angus works both internally and externally with P&P customers to ensure they are getting the best possible service for their procurement needs. 

Let’s get personal:
Angus is married with three kids and lovea spending time with them. He is passionate about cooking and keeping fit, he loves to travel and get involved in as many activities possible such as surfing, hiking and biking.

Guilty pleasure:
Angus loves a festival - a music festival, food festival, culture festival, beer festival. Any type of festival!

Neil Harford

Branch Manager (Dorset)

Everyday is different in Neil's role, whether being involved at the heartbeat on sales or planning the cutting program and deliveries to ensure our customers get their requirements on time. The role is varied but enjoyable and nothing can better seeing our lorry full when it leaves each morning.

Let’s get personal:
Cricket has always been part of Neil's life from a young age and he still actively follows the game. Neil also enjoy live music, and going to as many concerts as possible to see both well-known and local bands.

Guilty pleasure:
Got to to be foreign foods, either before or after an ice cold beer. Beats prawn cocktail, steak and Black Forest gateaux!!

Nathan Heeley

Business Development Manager (Dorset)

Nathan has been in the industry for over 15 years so he has plenty of experience and knowledge to help customers with their needs and requirements. Nathan's roles and aims at P&P are to put our name out there to businesses that do not know us and introduce the service, competitive prices, and knowledge that we can provide as a company, and also to prove to our customers that we can make their purchasing life easy.

Let’s get personal:
O
utside of work, a lot of Nathan's time is spent doing family things, soft play etc. (exciting stuff). When he does have some spare time, Nathan likes playing football and boxing.

Guilty pleasure:
Cannot lie, Nathan loves a weekend morning singing along to UB40 😛
Paul provides cover looking after targeted accounts and assisting in both sales related phone and email enquiries at the P&P Non-Ferrous distribution cebtre at Three Legged Cross in Dorset.

Paul has been in the metals industry for 41 years and in that time has sold most types of metals in all forms.

Internal Sales (Dorset)

Paul has been in the metals industry for over 30 years, working within Aerospace, Nuclear, Motorsport and general engineering, so he has a wide and varied knowledge of all things metal.

But Paul is the first to admit that he is still learning and is always happy to offer any assistance in sourcing any of his customer's requirements.

Let’s get personal:
Paul likes to cycle and enjoy walks along the coast. He also likes to watch his son play rugby and spend time with his daughter whenever he has some free time. Paul also enjoy cooking and trying new things outside of his comfort zone.

Guilty pleasure:
Paul loves eighties music and does enjoy watching the antiques roadshow!

Michelle Pugh

Office Manager

Michelle first started in the industry 23 years ago, initially in a Sales role. She has been the Office Manager for 7 years and has been at P&P for 14 years altogether. Michelle is responsible for Quality, partially responsible for Health & Safety, and is also a fire warden. She runs the day-to-day paperwork of the office and make sure all customers’ orders are despatched as required. Michelle is also responsible for payroll, she is a first aider and a mental health first aider.


Let’s get personal:
Married for 16 years with 2 children, Michelle likes going on holiday to France. She also enjoys taking her daughter horse riding and watching her son go karting.

Guilty pleasure:
Michelle enjoys a bit of roller skating.

Sarah's key role is working within the production office, providing administrative support to her team.
This mainly entails invoicing live works/sales orders, booking stock in and uploading material certificates to the systems and sending to customers. Sarah is also responsible for the organisation of third party, outside transport for the shipments to customers across the UK, in addition to inventory management and liaising with the Goods In/Out department.


Let’s get personal:
Outside of work Sarah enjoys training at the gym, spending time with the family and going out on the back of her boyfriend’s motorbike for rides in the country.

Guilty pleasure:
Sarah collects lots of crystals, tarot cards and anything witchy. She also enjoy drinking Gin, Prosecco & dancing to 80’s music.

Simon is a seasoned Marketing Manager who is at the helm of our marketing endeavors. With responsibility for managing and implementing marketing activities across all 4 Steel Dynamics Group businesses, Simon brings a blend of strategic vision and hands-on expertise to the P&P team, producing our marketing literature, managing our online presence (including this website and social media), creating engaging content, promoting the business through marketing communications and industry events, and generally ensuring marketing plans and strategies are aligned with business goals.

Let’s get personal: Simon enjoys sports, family holidays, burgers, and the odd pint – in no particular order! Favourite holiday destination has got to be Disneyworld with Mrs H and his two amazing daughters. But when he's not spending time with them, you will probably find him either in the pub, watching his beloved Burnley, eating or building lego.

Guilty pleasure: Due to his knackered knees and dodgy hamstrings from years of playing sport, Simon has recently taken up a new activity for that adrenaline rush – crown green bowling!

Having been with the company for 10 years, (and 3 years prior working in a sales role within the metal stockholding industry), Kate has gained experience operating in both a Sales Executive and Accounts Administration position within the company, enabling Kate to build key relationships with both customers and suppliers.

Let’s get personal:
Having 2 young children most of Kate's spare time is taken up standing in the cold watching football, being a taxi service, and making sure she feeds everyone at home to keep them all alive.

Guilty pleasure:
Kate enjoys watching films, listening to music, cooking and travel.
